Lord of the Barn was sparked by a discussion on an elf list, about what happened to Bill the Pony. Someone wondered if he'd gotten killed or something outside the mines. It was pointed out that in the movie, Gandalf bespelled him so he could get 'home' safely. I made a crack about poor Bill getting back to Imladris all bruised and battered, with feelings of abandonment ... and My Little Pony was born. I posted three or four stories there until someone with some clout made an offhand comment about 'bestiality' and I decided aginst posting any more. It's not bestiality in the way people think of it. There's actually nothing sexual until well into the series, and even that isn't bestiality. Most think of this as a parody, and maybe it is, but that's not how I wrote it.
As I assembled this page, I realized there were a few missing. Where they are, I really don't know, but they're gone. They don't interfere with what's left, and I hope to find them some day, I'm just bummed because one of them was actually rather cool.
Some of these are connected, some aren't -- they're all in the same universe, I'm gonna try to organize, or at least explain them, a little.
Blinders -- This is my Lord of the Barn nod to Gimli / Legolas, and the only one writen from the POV of someone other than one of the horses.
Pointy Hat Trick and Bonds -- My Gandalf / Shadowfax set. The title of Pointy Hat Trick refers to the Very Secret Diaries, and Bonds is about Gandalf's falling and Shadowfax's answer to it.
Washed Away and Peppermint -- After the river washes away the Nine Riders and their mounts, the twins are sent to inspect the damage and see if anything washed up. They find one of the steeds alive, and no longer effected by the naz'gul magic.
Checkmate and Lord Glordiva -- Lord Glordivia is the naughty one, Glorfindel goes for a ride with his beloved. Checkmate is just another misc. story with Glorfindel and Asfaloth, not really related to any other storyline here.
Runs in the Family -- The title is actually in reference to one of the missing stories, boo hoo. One story I wrote, that's now missing, was Asfaloth's POV of Arwen's stealing of him to take over Glorfindel's role in the movie. This is referring to Elrond also stealing Asfaloth.
