I've always loved reading about pre-history, specifically the Earth's Chilren series (Clan of the Cave Bear and its sequels) and this pair of earrings reminds me of that.  The off-white beads are carved bones, topped with simple glass.  They're also an homage to the fact that beads rival only cave painting as our earliest art-form.
