I'll be the first to admit I'm no expert at gemstone identification. If it's purple, it could be fluorite, amethyst or a dyed quartz. Even turquoise colored stones aren't always turquoise. The only stones I do feel comfortable identifying are goldstone and tigereye. Everything else that comes in a mixed collection of beads or pendants that I'm certain are semi-precious stones is listed here.
