A specific kind of enamled metal-based beads, cloisonne are incredibly beautiful.  Usually with flowers as a theme, it's a metal based bead with numerous small 'walls' soldered to it, which are then filled in with enamel.  The result is  a complex and lovely looking bead that adds grace and style to any set of beads, and looks fantastic on its own, as well.
