Being a bona fide child of the eighties, I remember those plastic charm braclets and necklaces and I wanted, like every other girl, every single one! (I always wore whatever set matched the jellies I wore that day)  I still have a few kicking around in boxes of old toys but the charms I play with now are far more sophisticated than plastic tennis rackets that hooked onto plastic chain.  My charm bracelets are made from actual charms, and from 'beaded charms' - a set or collection of beads put onto headpins and made into custom charms.
